Donnas Little Shoes

Mother, Dear, come bathe my little head I'm growing very weak..
Mother, Dear, let the drops of water fall on my burning cheek..
Tell all my schoolmates that Donna will no longer play..
Give them all my toys, but Mother but my little shoes away..
I'm going to leave You Mother, so remember what I say..
O' do it, won't You please Dear Mother, put my Little Shoes away..
Santa Clause, he gave them to me, with a lot of other things..
And I think he brought an Angel, with a pair of Golden Wings..
Mother, I will be an Angel, by perhaps another day..
So You will then Dear Mother, put my Little Shoes away..
When Baby Sister will be bigger, then they'll fit Her little feet..
O' she'll look so nice and pretty, when She walks along the street..
Now I'm getting tired, Dear Mother soon I'll say to all good day..
Please remember what I tell You Dear Mother..
Put my Little Shoes away..

Donnas Little Shoes was inspired by all of the children suffering from
life changing medical and mental problems that could end their lives.
Thank You sparrowsong for your reply to the poem.
