Poem -

Don’t Destroy Self

You caused the pain, to laugh and cry, to soar the hells, and
Daily die. And poison fruit, the hand of God, to curse the
Soul, to bless the rod. My nightly death, the breath of bane,
An anthem dead, the whisk of pang. And hateful thoughts,
A passion dry, a well of tears, a need to lie. And broken
Pulse, the wings of guile, a life of death, a fleet of trials.
For demon heart, the spark of pus, the darkest deed, a loss
Of trust.

You caused the pain, to laugh and cry, to soar the hells, and
Daily die. And precious love, afflicted sore, alert to ache, a
Psychic war. My nightly death, the kef of hate, a selfish thorn,
A devil’s cape. And depth the heart, a silent voice, to nurture
Love, the proper choice. For demon heart, the spark of pus,
The darkest deed, a loss of trust.

The phrase poison fruit is not an allusion to the tree of good and evil. It refers to immoral deeds.
