Poem -

Don't feel sorry for me.

Don't feel sorry for me.

Don'tĀ  feel sorry for me
I'm the same girl you knew
Back in the high school days
When friendships were true
Don'tĀ  feel sorry for me
I can still sing a tune
I won't lose that talent
Even if my memory I lose
Don'tĀ  feel sorry for me
That child is still there
The one you remember playing with
In that great summer air
Don'tĀ  feel sorry for me
My love will always be strong
EvenĀ  my memory
Of some things will live on
Don'tĀ  feel sorry for me
I'll always be there. You may not think so
but I will be, I swear.
Don'tĀ  treat me differently just because
I physically change. My sense of humour
Will always still remain.
If you can't handle me at my worst
Then you don'tĀ  deserve the best of me
That will always come first.
Don'tĀ  feel sorry for me. My heart will always be true. Heaven and Earth will still be the same and so should you.
