Don't forget to make a wish on the supermoon

Yet again with pesky dreaming,
Creeping in like mould.
In through sneaky crevasses.
I thought Iād watched you all die.
Held on like a fool,
To those old cold dreams.
I let you seep your fingers round my heart,
With a feral naivety I held you so close,
And I let you go with what was left if me.
I forcefully turned my back on you.
I had to.
I thought Iād be so much stronger alone.
Buy I cripple so easily.
I faint and flounder,
And I see her through the murk,
That once so dreamy child.
I donāt want to remember them.
I donāt want to be what I was.
The gleaming and the shiny,
Under so, so much dust.
Because thatās where all the wildlings played,
Where no one would ever look.
We used to hold hands so tightly,
And shine when no one looked.
We laughed so loud and brightly,
Because time was forever long.
We chased scary monsters,
And ran and ran just to be alone.
We didnāt need their lessons and rules,
We had all of us.
Thatās when those dreams were fresh and bright,
With a youth,
And a howl,
And a glow.
They were strong and in depth and so deep in us,
We knew every sunset to come.
Each detail,
Each freckle,
Each minute whisper.
We were never, never to know.

Hey JEMIMALETTUCE!! (interesting monikerāŗ).....This was a VERY compelling read......great use of rhythmic timing here ~ especially when you read it aloud....it has a kind eerie quality to it....a kind of melancholy that smells of terrible memories!!Ā The whole story is unclear but the phrasing is exceptionally well crafted and lead me to believe that a true tragedy is lingering there in those very poetic images of yours!!.....ALL STARS!!.....well done dear poet sister.......and......WELCOME to COSMO!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo ??ā“?
Thank you Tony!Ā
