~~~~DON’T HIDE OUR FEELINGS

What did I do with the feelings inside
I was shattered wanting to cry
People can’t see I will seem weak
They’ll think I’ve no faith if they see me weep
So I hid them for years that was self and pride
That is not strength that is lies and denial
Gods word says when we’re weak we are strong
He knows how we’re feeling then in His arms we belong
He doesn’t expect our emotions to hide
He wants us to know that He’s on our side
Jesus wept so why shouldn’t we
Showing emotions can set us free
If we hold them in they pile up inside
 When you’re filled up there is no space to hide
 It’s then when you start to fall apart
Lost in the torment that broke your heart
So when you are hurting don’t hold it in
Show your emotions but lean on HIM
Don’t hide tears from people who care for you
Be honest with yourself tell the truth

Hiding is no use
It was my pride
Forgive me Lord for not telling the truth
Forgive me Lord for trying to harden my heart
So I would not feel the pain
Forgive me Lord for not believing you would
Hold me and heal me.
