Poem -

DON'T WEAR OUT MY HEART OF GOLD

Please don't wear out my heart of gold
Don't want to see any tragedies unfold
I respect you for who you really are
My one bright light and shining star

Please don't wear out my heart of gold
I will keep you warm whenever you're cold
My heart will love you each and every day
Nothing will come between us or get in the way

Please don't wear out my heart of gold
With you my love they broke the mould
My heart will be yours and yours will be mine
I will take care of you well and treat you fine

Katina Woodruff...

Nice rhyme scheme.
I could hear the poem moving swiftly to the end.

I like the repeating line:

Please don't wear out my heart of gold

Thanks for sharing your poem.
Good work!
