Door Far Across the Way

I see a door far across the way.

The one door that allows me to live one more day.

Without its ability to hide away.

Every fear, and disappointment that haunts me in every way.

The only thing that has not been solved.

Is if the key to this door is within my resolve.

I have looked for many years.

For this key I wish so badly to appear.

This constant absence of its unlocking power.

This may be what drives me, one more day into the future.

Even though I see this door far across the way.

This key eludes me each and every day.
