Doorway To Paradise
Words to express how I'm feeling struggle to come.
In my heart I understand all that has been won !
Where I was and who I was are consigned to history,
No longer a reason to exist or wonders of life a mystery.
Even though I coped with it all better than most others,
I did not comprehend magic which prevails between lovers.
The mundane nature of living alone expected to last,
As dreams of anything different were impossible to grasp.
Then, with the suddeness of a lightning bolt hitting earth
Your grace and beauty showed me what's of true worth !
When I met you a doorway appeared in a wall I couldn't scale.
Going through, I found a paradise greater than any fairy tale !
Sharing all I am with you, I appreciate what was missing before.
What you gave to this soul I'll never adequately thank you for.

Hey SIR WATERS!!.... what a well delivered realization or epiphany perhaps!?...... If you read the first line immediately followed by the closing line you realize what a perfectly crafted picture of a person finding a soul-mate this is...... one of the most difficult things to accomplish (for me) in poetry is describing that ~ "... paradise greater than any fairy tale.."...... you have done a stellar job here brother poet!!....I don't know if this write was born from truth or your imagination........ but regardless...... you've touched something beautifully here.......LOVE IT!!......ALL STARS...... well done........LOVE and ROCKETS!!.......T xo
