Down by the river

Down by the river

I strolled by the river & I threw some little stones.. listening to the melodies of the rippling overtones... down along the current my polished pebbles  shuffled... as the torrent of the rapids made my hearing muffled...

Oh how I love to spend my days hanging out with my Granddaughter gathering grains of gravel & skimming them in the water... down in the dean where the river runs free.. just two or three of my Grandkids, Mother nature & me...

Singing along to our favourite old tunes... laughing & larking like a load of baffoons... yelling & a’bawling as we throw our boulders at pace... trying to beat each other with a floating stick race...

Hi Jill....It is those simple moments and activities in life that end up meaning so much.  Sounds like a fun time with your granddaughter.  I remember skipping stones on Lake Norman here in NC with my children....Great times to hold onto. xo ;)
