Down The Crooked Way

Down The Crooked Way

Consumed by the darkness
That I create,
Left with my hate
That's thrown me down the crooked way.

Who knew, being wicked could be so much fun
Cursing wrath over the puritans,
Whatever shred of dignity please shed light
In lateness I realize I can't afford the devil's price.

Blessed be the knowledge possessed
Lead astray for it I thirst,
Sweet illumination could be my salvation
But death surely is my rightful curse.

Never thought my curiosity
Would get the better of me,
But even the best of men would say
It only takes a bit of tragedy
To make a poor man turn down the crooked way.

Thanks T, that is awesome to hear! I really needed that confidence booster. My ideas lately have been few and far between but this I enjoyed, started writing and didn't stop.
