Dream

Driving in the desert night
Your hair blowing, blond like fields of corn kissed by the sun
Your dark blue eyes, and a swagger that brings me to my knees
A voice more beautiful than the singing of angels
A hand to hold
Two bodies merged together
Grown ups laughing like children between cool lipstick stained sheets
Why did you leave me?
Once when we were just teenagers, full of angst and too afraid
to really know each other
Then, again in our later life
You were gone
So I wait
In the water
With the others
For the train

Hello Danielle,
A very pretty poem, though now and forever a lonely heart and soul locked in battle with her future, although her past and present has once again set him free. She is left once more, to wonder. Since once, twice she have set him free, she again sits in the midnights rain wondering whether it was meant to be and if so, bring him back home once again for me and until then this is where she will remain, to be forever alone, searching for her past, who now has eluded her, in this present, laying and leaving doubt, as a caretaker of her future, thus, what will be, once again, will be.........
Kindest Regards,
Jim
a soul left alone can grow in many different aspects. a person who has received pain understands the world better than the one who has never left the lap of comfort and contentment.. beautiful poem
