In Dreams

In Dreams

In dreams

you sometimes

return to me.

In that land

of slumber and possibilities

I see you walk out of a mist.

I think it is springtime

I am not sure.

I ignore

 blossoms and scenery

focusing only on you.

In these moments

You have not left me

You are here

real and beautiful.

Your kisses

are as sensual as ever.

You tell me I look thin

Asking if I am eating.

You say my hair is too long

and needs trimming.

Asking me

why my eyes are so sad

I have no answer for you

For in dreams

you never left me

And only the

willow trees weep.
