Dreams and Nightmares

Why do we have dreams?

To give us something to think about

To let our minds go places,

We've never been before

But then why are there nightmares?

To keep people in shape

To make them fear the unknown

To inflict pain upon an individual 

Why do our minds torture us this way?

It's not torture

They're lessons

Lessons that teach you to take you far

And to make you see with your heart

So, hold onto your dreams

Keep your nightmares

One day you'll need them

To reach for the stars
