We’re holding close and I’m kissing you, my heart is all abeam!
We’re walking on the earth we trod, and having so much fun;
Or we’re laying down at night to sleep, together bound as one!

We’re sharing food and a glass of wine, staring in one another’s eyes;
“I love you oh so very much”, do each of us then cry!
We’re holding tight and doing dance, we’re gliding o’er the floor;
We’ll whisper in each other’s ears, ”I could not love you more”!

We’re sharing laughs with some dear friends, its plain for them to see;
That our match was made right up in heaven, and we were meant to be!
We’re decked out in our formal wear, at a gala night event;
We’re holding hands and kissing long, our weakened knees are bent!

But then it’s time for me wake up, to the stark reality;
That this has been a cherished dream, you’re no longer here with me!
Then the tears will fall so freely, for the joys we had back then;
But the next night I’ll have more sweet dreams, and be back with you again!
