Dresses with zest

Dresses with zest

I inhale the oceanic air
tasting the saltiness on my tongue
caring not a jot for the made up lyrics to the songs that I’ve sung
I am strolling a scenic lane amidst the countryside in reality
But my mindfulness enjoys wandering off to Mother nature’s sandy shores occasionally

Seaside sensations satisfy my soul
invigorating each and every sensitivity making me whole
There is no where on God’s earth where I would rather be than haunting yon horizon staring out to the sea
So as I wander thru these woodlands listening to the chirping birds the pictures within my mind’s eye may seem a trifle absurd

Yet if an imagination doesn’t dare to dream would it be willing to wonder at our Dame Mother’s extreme
She dishes out her delights daily as she blows on the spiral of each season midst her sensational shows
Perhap’s my rambles on the break of the dawn offers me an early insight as I stretch and yawn
If this is so then I am truly blessedΒ
coz this Great Mother Magna always dresses with zest

An Ocean Fantasy!Β

Dark pink, white and orange dappled the horizon.
I could see the ocean with all of its vastness.Β
Salty expressions - reaching for wonder.Β
Waves, tides, expectations: an abundance of life.Β
Octopus, Green Slime, Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Hope.Β
Dipping bare toes into the rolling water hoping for change.Β
The ocean bellows with force, with magic, with serenity.Β
Following the sandy shores, in search of sea shells.Β
Looking for lost life, lingering, loving, laughing -- the oceanΒ
how it envelops my mind, in wonderment, in awe.Β

Thanks Jill for another outstanding poem.Β
I was envisioning the sea as I read the poem.Β
Well done!Β

I dream of visiting the ocean one day. My parents took me to the ocean when I was just born. So I don't remember ever seeing it. I love the water, yet cannot swim. The ocean life is what is so intriguing to me. I would like to photograph the waves and the awesome sunrises and sunsets. Oh, just doing a bit of dreaming.Β
