Driftwood

Driftwood

You wash ashore from distant worlds,
Soaked in stories from exotic locales.
Colored pathways drenched in tales,
Collect like driftwood bringing life-bound pals.

This one sings and that one dances,
As motley pieces take their place.
Brought together by common purpose,
Different looks become one face.

Is it search for meaning that drives your trek?
Like seeking salmon following inspired clues.
This day, this hour becomes the moment.
Tomorrow is not even yours to lose.

Thank you Lost

I was reading through some of your work

I love the the (non) use of punctuation

"Lock the door" is so bold, and goes right to where I am at with loved ones
