DRINKING HIS CARES AWAY

There he was drinking his cares away
Can't be the best way to start the day
I look at my watch it's just before ten
For this drinking man he's drinking again

I stop for a moment to ponder and think
What has caused this man to start to drink
Maybe he has suffered a tragedy in life
Like losing a loved one a child or wife

Drinking your cares away isn't the cure
What is the solution though I'm not so sure
Getting on with life is easier said than done
When you only have a bottle for your fun
