As I breathe I can hear the clocks
Alerting me to the dark
The dark that drapes ugly
And the curtains that await
The hollow homecoming
Of the star-shine
Like light that beacons
Salivating the bloody truth
That scalding hotness of honesty
Where the darkness haunts
And the pink blue blush
Grabs Hold...
As I gasp I can still hear the ticking
Like the countdown of finality
Praying for more garbage-in, garbage-out
So I begin to loosen my grip
Strangely walking the blade
That sharpness that stings the soul
And anchors the truth
To the drowning of the time spent
Engaging in the calamity
That one assumes to be life
As the pink blue blush
Tightens, its hold...
Then, the unusual,
As I sink downward
My soul, is lightened
As light, seeps in,
And my spirit grins,
Tick, tock,
Tick, tock...

Love this deep spiritually dark write where you describe death as drowning. Its beautifully told in words. Very imaginative the whole poem. Also liked it that it wasnt a long poem, made it short and sharp. Pinned! Px

Skating on the edge of death here Tony. I sense the dark alluring sensations that suddenly lighten as the soul is lifted from its shell. Wonderful imagery.
