Du Jour Or Defecto'

A head thus bowed can be du jour
While those erected defecto'
Being prepared against that day
But for the fool a true motto
Beauty buzz the cradle in fuss
Widows in tears, men and their fears
Children at play orphans making
Silence while the ready prepares
Thick are the pages with regretĀ
Tenacious the ink to report
Long lines leading to poverty
Natural law a wise man's resort
What little it takes the ready
That effort amid much laughter
Is a bulwark never failing
Leaving defectors to scatterĀ
Big the difference in preparing
And those who make up the prepared
Every man and women sharing
Readiness is what all preferred
In the darkness all seems alike
As for the dawn, works become bright
Shadows share no hiding either
Reality gives birth to fright
Useless the smile in times of peace
Arrogant praise to the wrong side
So too the band in perfect suits
Ever on a Titanic ride
