before the dying of the night.

Two doves peacefully sit
Upon the telephone wire,
Thinking of yesterday's Sun
This morning shine,
Mocking their feathers
No season can rewind,
For winter came knocking
Over night, its kiss
Upon the morning light
Sent rain to cleanse
The trees, gentle ice
Falling hail
Upon the leaves,
The Sun holds strength
Running nowhere,
Still shining within
Delight,
Maybe winter had warned
Of it's visit
Before the dying of
the night,
Such feathers has the sun
it's warmth
To overcome the cold,
Willing to display its
Beauty forever bold,
Clouds lingering
try to lighten the mood
casting fragments of yellow
throughout the blue
Does now winter have a plan
Such sorrows to pursue,
Two doves peacefully sit
While the sun is shining through,
Tomorrow the rain will set in
A ColdFusion against your skin
No feathers to keep away the cold,
But the sun such strength
It will not run,
Holds tight against dark clouds
Shining forever bold
Winter came knocking
upon the light
before the dying of the night.
