Early Morning Frost

Early Morning Frost

It’s a chilly winter morning;
You awaken and stroll toward the window.
A blanket of pearly snow covers the landscape.
You smile and tilt your head
As I bask in delightful bliss.
Serenity graces your face
As your finger glides along your lips.
Fond memories from years ago
Dance within your mind.
You close your eyes
And then softly whisper a name.
The wind lashes against the window,
And you notice the morning frost.
Your warm fingers trace my face
And wipe me away,
Then you return to sleep.
