Earth Child

Earth Child

In this light I wait for you

Day by day breaking threw

All the hurt and pain as I run in dark places

Followed forever by yesterday's sorrow

On my own but not afraid

Holding close the love I feel

And in the darkness so many have fallen

They're suffering turns my dreams to nightmares

But when I wake I weep for them

And march again with a heart of fire

None shall stop my souls accention

For I have seen divine things

Angels demons words are not enough

For life is stranger than we can suppose

The trees whisper on the wind

These songs of  truth

To empty heads

And what is left

When it's time to go

But Mother Earth

And her bleeding womb
