Earth of sin

I was in tears 

And the river in which I 

Drowned took me to the sea 

In a life raft, 

I was in despair 

And a golden harp played 

A song for my soul, 

I was in danger 

And a hero stood in front 

Of me

Protecting my mortality, 

I was at death's door 

And God spoke to me 

In a voice of loving kindness 

To give life to a beggar 

On the earth of sin 

Dear God 

I was in your church 

Upon the rock
