echoes of a mountain

Like 0 Pin it 0Oh God
Lord of mercy
In these clothes
By the river Ganges
I am torn, drowning
In the waters of Krishna
Taking my soul to it's depths
Like a fish in it's territory as
When the storm passes
I have drowned
- Lord Krishna
In these cycles before you
I am your humble servant
-
So it was in a 1000 days
That I walked past your rivers and mountains
In this white cloth
Splashed with the red blood of tiger
That I had come across
In the great mountains of India
As I looked into the panting mouth
Of this fierce animal
Is it so threatening or merely
A passing phase - that
I mistook a tiger
For life upon this earth
In the days of dark
And the nights lit by a moon's white beam
Krishna the Supreme
-
I am walking past your fallen leaf
Past your tree
In the great jungle of India
I'm walking past your mountain
Into the belly of the valley
Where snakes live with trees
As trees live with tigers
Where deer are drinking water
Where the water stands still
Waiting for the moonlight
In this great pain
The tiger is growling as
Lord
Krishna chants peace
Within the echoes of a mountain
