The eighth wonder

The eighth wonder

I look in the mirror
at my homely face.
you have all the beauty
to make hearts race.
I have seen the slowest
horse win first place.
I have seen flowers
grow in a barren place.
but of all the wonders
on land and sea
I never thought you
would have chosen me

Thats a nice poem about someone you love, and if the person you love makes you feel alive, feeling alive is a wonderful experience  and should be an experience to love. Love is not a subject to compare with anything considered as homely. Remember, love is an internal experience and not an opinion of something external. If the person has chosen you, the person sees value in you and feels the same about you. If you later find out the person did not, then the person was never worthy of your love. Have a good day
