Emily & Pickle

There is a horse called Pickle
In Claire Nixons riding school
This mare is about 12 hands tall
It really is no fool

Well on most weekends Jenni Robson, drives down to this place
She has two girls who love to ride
The youngest is Emily Grace

She rides Pickles around the field & they go for a little hack
The two of them look great together as she sits perched upon his back

The only thing with Pickles is that he sometimes will just stop!!
So Emily will realise that he probably needs his time to plop

So she really knows his nature & his funny little way
& when she isnt  riding him
She will miss him everyday

Emily is never scared, this lass she has no fear
When shes sat proud upon that horse
She looks the part with all the gear

“Good girl Emily” I hear Clair say as shes shouting all the banter
She clicks her boots against his sides & they do start to canter

I’m watching this stood on the grass behind the paddock wall
I really hope that Emily stays on & doesnt take a mighty fall

Coz you see if it was me I would’nt have a clue
I tell her I’m no good with horses
I’m certainly not like you
You just look like a little jockey
You really are a star
I’ve no doubt in my mind
Someday you will go very far
