Emmett Till
Body left dissipated, obliterated,
oh Emmett Till,
Investigators could not tell if it was a human or mutilated road kill,
his eye was gouged from his head,
barbed wire tied around his neck,
all because a caucasian woman,
claimed she didn't get proper respect
oh Emmett Till,
Money Mississippi was the place,
you were not guilty of the case,
but you were guilty of your race,
to much melanin in your face,
Oh Emmett Till,
they say your case changed the land,
apparently not,
ask George Zimmerman,
but in your case the INNOCENT man was named Roy Bryant,
When reporters asked him did he kill you he surely didn't deny it,
Oh Emmett Till,
While you are sitting next to our heavenly father,
tell him to touch our country's heart if he bother,
then we all can have a peaceful space,
my prayer is one day All of God's children,
Become one race...

Greetings Jesse,
Emmett Till case the 14-year-old, was one injustice, that will always be remembered, It is sad to have had so many lives lost, stole are sacrificed, for the greater of the good, but his, wasn't a sacrifice this was a young (shy) kid, whom did not even talk to his own color right out without knowing them, let alone, someone of another color, especially of the female gender. This was a very small youth, of  the young age of 14 teen as it was and everyone knew, it was a lie told by she, due to pressures by her old man and they then ran with it, unlike how the matter would have been dealt with today’s date and time…   for what he did for society,(has brought a multitude of people together of all colors) and for what was done to him, was  that of a crucifixion by several ignorant lowlifes and the group, they hung with, likes the cowards they are, they hid then and sad to say some still exist to this day (hid)… we came to far as nation, to wonna regress when, so much common ground has been obtain already, by all colors together, grant it, we are gonna have ignorance of all walks of life and color, all we can do as (1) people is continue being an advocate, for the greater, of all colors, that want it to be, their civic duty, to make a change in all lives and of all colors. If we were to go to war against another country, the man in the trenches next to you won’t be the enemy (is what we hope, will not be the case),it just might be the color line that you refused to cross just moments ago, now you are depending on this man to sustain life for you, as you once knew it God forbid you get bit by the magic bullet and he doesn't….A person can have all the sense in the world but if there exist no common sense, to back up the book sense, it’s as if trying to cast a line, where there is, (none) to be no fish. Just like back then there were a lot of inherited traits of ignorance, no book sense nor common sense , you’re reduced then down to instinct and ignorance to the "cause" by the many, led by the uneducated racially motivated separatist, whom saw it fit (back) then, to assault a child, (cowards then and cowards now) and how could you expect the  justice system to have done anything, when they themselves, at local levels, such as the police force, mayors and every day, so called citizens, so it would be like having to convict your own.. No win situation back then and back then, if the family would have handled the situation any differently, then there,( I am sure) would have been more lives lost and ( on both sides), of the racist bred and fed, spectrum  parts of Chicago, the bad of the race, making it double hard for the good of the race to be able to step back wonder “why did it all exist then and in some states and even tried cases, still does, through the justice system, sad, sad affair but this site, has the same ideas, of you and everybody else on here …This site has no color and it sees (not) you, I or anyone else, as a color, only for whom you are…. and if you really wonna make a difference , like you are, keep in the format for which you have chosen to deliver your message, in an educational, informative and a very point orientated manner, as you have done. You laid it out there, you knew, just as I, on how it transpired but by you, was place on no one, (the blame) but brought to the attention of everyone, only through, remembrance to some and acknowledgement to others, who knew nothing of the matter. That’s why it’s not right by any to attempt to solve an age old problem, whereby implementing the same old Repetitiously given failed solution. Let’s not do as the old did and expect to make a positive change, that’s just spending your wheels, at a standstill…Pick up where it was left off and build upon, that mark.  The past is the past and can’t be changed, for all that could be done back then was done and all we can do, is as you are now, speaking on remembering the past in order to not repeat it, not beat a dead horse, while he lie. You have done it the right way and you did it well….Some of the most honest people you will meet in your young life, will more than likely, be someone of anther color when a friendly gesture to make or add on poems such as this…Proud Young man are you and for all the right “cause” Being next to God, is being God like, I don’t think, God hated nor hurt anyone, though he did, offer a good bit of advice, not to mention his life, for a better understanding, of mankind, for mankind and by himÂ
Tills Tale:
The report released Thursday found that Till died of a gunshot wound to the head and that he had broken wrist bones and skull and leg fractures. When his body was pulled from the Tallahatchie River in the summer of 1955, the report said, "the crown of his head was just crushed out ... and a piece of his skull just fell out and an eye and socket, was totally disfigured." Roy Bryant, the white woman's husband, and his half-brother J.W. Milam were charged in Till's death shortly after the killing but were acquitted by an all-white jury. Both men, now deceased, later confessed in a 1956 interview with Look magazine. In 1955, nearly 100,000 people had filed past Till's open casket during a four-day public viewing in the boy's hometown of Chicago. A graphic photo of his face appeared in Jet magazine, and that image stoked national outrage and fueled the civil rights movement. Till's mother, who had wanted her son's casket open to expose the brutality of racism to the world, died in 2003. She was buried next to him. a third man had given a deathbed confession. According to the new report, Leslie Milam, a relative of the two men, also confessed before he died. “We just wanted the truth," said Ollie Gordon, Till's cousin and one of half a dozen family members who reviewed the report with federal investigators on Thursday. "Just knowing the truth has been comforting to the family, whom stayed this long highway and road the road, of this political injustice, until justice finally came home, to the boy's hometown of Chicago’s, road  end."
Job well done, Â Â Â Â Â Â Jim
You are very right! I really appreciate you taking out time to recollect and also inform me on this sad occurrence at a very detailed level. Thanks so much Jim!
Jesse,
You are quite welcome sir and your train of thought, is quite impressive and most definitely for the greater of cause for all. The entire poem is one of (5) star quality but these are the lines that spoke the heart and sincerity of the poet, which I felt the most intensity flowing from it, if I had to pick a few.."No disrespect with the young Man thing, i wish i was young again, to be for real," "just be proud of yourself doing your thing and the path you have chose"..You are a bright young Man .....Â
God Bless and (My hat off to you),
Jim
