Empty lot

Empty lot

Being on the outside and looking in,
this old house has seen much sin.
Beat and tattered and faded to grey,
it once stood proud back in it's day.

No more laughing playing kids,
no one else will ever live.
It will return back to the earth,
It's done giving all it's worth.

To much darkness stored inside,
way to many people died.
When he snapped that fateful night,
he chopped them up with a butcher knife.

Not the fault of this old house,
but the man who killed his loving spouse.
When it's gone but not forgot,
this house will be an empty lot.
