Poem -

Empty Spaces

I just wanted to remind you
That your big green eyes
Tell a thousand stories
About the things

That scare you
And the things you dream of
And the things that set you apart
from the rest

I feel like I’ve seen it all as you
Because the best part of me
Is inside of you

I can write and write
For days on end
Perfect Sunshine baby
That’s my best friend

My soul was born
with a space to fill
Who knew that the spark
Was yours to fulfill

Morning sits on my window ledge
And I observe the sky
I know the stars have disappeared
But you’re still here in disguise

Running free
Soaring high
My heart and your heart
That’s when they collide

Two bodies one soul
How can it be
That once the missing space was found
I can’t see a different me

The world isn’t enough
for me to give
So I hope this slice of heaven
Is one you want to live

Every night I close my eyes
And wish the days were longer
Though I’m tired and my body’s soft
The ocean calls my wander

She tells me secrets
In whispers and sighs
And told me to tell you
She lives in my eyes

Water trickles out sometimes
To kiss my cheeks
And show my heart
Even though I feel weak

Salt water is found
In the most beautiful places
The ocean, our eyes
And sometimes empty spaces

Being Me

Morning sits on my window ledge

Love that line!

Salt water is found
In the most beautiful places
The ocean, our eyes
And sometimes empty spaces

And that verse is just so beautiful!

A lovely, lovely poem.
welcome to Cosmo x
