Enchantment of Chaos

charm lingers upon lips
luminant as phosphorescence 
we gaze through continents of sky
neverending chances unfold
as we fragment in freedom's air
breathing us together, and apart
and together
with threads untied, untangled
dove and cardinal
wingtips dipping in the sun
painting pandemonium
of fire in this shared sky

a slight turn of the kaleidoscope
and loose gems of life
design for us, within and beyond
our curious, colourful matrix
heavenly bright bodies of night
and light reflection off morning dew
we cannot seize or contain
enchantment is in the unknown
the unholdable, unmoldable clouds
fleeting by and collapsing
diffusing themselves
and what we once knew of our lives
