Poem -

Entombed

She found heaven

A haven from the chaos and confusion

A warm place to stay and enough food to eatĀ

And peace

The peace was what she had never experienced before

Aside from the noise from the road outside, she found space in her head to think.Ā

She withdrew

She hid behind four walls, a locked door and closed curtains

The hours became days, became months became years

The world outside of her cocoon had moved on

She had been sat there for 15 years in silence to herself

No one knows she's there

No one knows she's alive

She's entombed.Ā
