Escaping the darkness

When the universe
requested I step aside ,

Confused
As to where I belong
Something soft in tone
Of this,
Like an old 80's song

I just wanted to dance
sing along '

I ment no harm at all
But that is how those
Silly angel's fall

So i stood there
In the rain
The unknown yet
To take place
Moved aside
Creating that much
needed space ,

Was then i could see
Flowers growing
from the earth
As silent tears escaped
My eye's within the rain ,

It hurt's to look
At beauty within envy
Of all it has to gain

Still i stand in silence
My eye's upon the ground
Dripping drops
Of mingled tears beneath
My angel frown

Something in the silence
Calmly took my hand
I could not see it
Nor did understand ,

Just a feeling
Deepest within my heart
Had led me straight to you
Escaping from within
the darkness

Flowers grow all over
The earth
Beneath those drops of rain
Beautiful colours
And styles
Some can never be explained

When the universe
requested I step aside ,

It was to open my eyes
To see
All the beauty on the outside
But to feel the love
Within me,

Escaping the thoughts
not good enough
All the heartache pain
and lies,

Reaching out to touch
My heart
wiping the tears
I've cried

Confused
As to where I belong

Not knowing what
Went wrong

What i didn't realize
In singing the wrong song
I was always looking down
Hadn't seen you come along

Drowned my face
In the saddest of tears
Dripping from my frown
Such a silly angel
To fall is a long way down

Now I'm always looking up
Towards the love
I've found
For flowers shall grow
Upon the earth
Beautiful in envy's eye's

But to find such beauty
On the inside
Escaping the darkness
And lies,

Just becomes a memory
Of those long lost
Weeping cries.
