ESCAPIST FANTASY
I want to escape
Fill my head with fantasy
Let me smile at the moon for no reason
Let me sing as the wind blows me about
Let me scream because I feel free
Release me
Set me out into the world
Let me see what I am missing
Bless me
Come on
Let’s party
Time to no longer fake it
Time to seek pleasure
Time to let inhibitions falter
Time to just let go
See what may be
Invite faith
Let life compliment you
Peace to you my brother
Bless you my sister
It’s gonna be alright
Life is best if you are living

I wrote at my desk .. was reading a book called-against the state by janet coleman.... section on freud had him say religion was escapist fantasy so I thought id write a poem while I listened to magic fm lol
