Eternal

Wind wistfully whistling whispers,

Of seething icy breath.

Uproarious denuded fingers,

Claws with hopeless futility at death.

With shadow obfuscation

The sky soars up high,

Trailing dreams of damnation,

As life departs a sigh...

Obscure, desolate twilight,

A permanence of eternal nothing,

An eviternal dream, of unending night,

Alone...nevermore comprehending...

What unjust means of callous fear,

Does roost and feed within an intellect,

To brood upon a topic so dear? 

Our cessation of existing we suspect?

Outside the wind bemoans our grace,

Lifeless, soaring through the night.

Death our greatest fear we face,

While with life we still do fight.
