Eternal Screams

Eternal Screams

A bullet. He crumples to the ground.

He lays still. To him there's no sound.

The battle rages. He is not aware.

The pain grows. A statistic of warfare.

Memory explodes. Home, children, and wife.

Last thoughts. Gone is his cherished life.

Many to follow. Wasted hopes and dreams.

Haven't we had enough ? Eternal screams.

Well written Richard .it's a sad reality that we value life most when we are about losing it.we hardly cherish things till we loss them.Cheers.

Millions fall victim to war ! Why do we have to take any more ? !

I am afraid we do because war and conflict is in the soul of man ! That doesn't make it right !!!

Thanks for reading and commenting on my efforts !

Best wishes !
