Ever Lingering Embers
No Love so bold, never growing cold
So alive
With the nearness
Of love's potentates
And most powerful states
Where there's no cremation
Of heartbeats so alive
Pulsing with the nearness of you
Through the burning distance
Where
Kindred hearts
Await
The ignition
--------------------------------------
For
Our Love's tale
Is spreading
Like California wildfires
Burning hot with passion's flames
Never to move
No matter how hot
The ravenous nature
Of this Love so bold
Christens or creates
In the aftermath
Of its
Ever lingering
Embers..
