Ever Under Constructed

A lifetime temptation,  could take just one drink

Sneaks up and steals you before you can blink

Dispute with the boyfriend seems reason enough

Broad spectrum reveals was just about minor stuff

If we don't have each other, than what have we got?

Can't even remember the reason we fought

Don't lean on me, and I won't hang off you

Both broken there's not that much good it would do

Just know I'll forever give you all I can

Be proud and feel lucky to call you my man 

At times it does feel like it's us vs the rest 

But it's only life putting love to the test 

Nothing's ever stopped us, not the hardest of battles

They try their darndest but our frame never rattles 

We've made it this far, through thick and by thin 

Take this as our moment, our time to begin

Love to give you a family, a child of your own 

So one day you'll look back, be proud how they've grown 

Into exceptional people, I know that they would 

Was never a secret you'd master fatherhood 

But all those ambitions are now only dreams

It breaks my heart, you can hear my tears screams 

If only, I woulda, I coulda, I should 

Now none of those actions will do any good
