Poem -

EVERYDAY

I see your ghost walking down the pavilion
Your left behind your cards...so I deal them
I saw your heart take the bust
That old thunderbird sits under a burnt down tree...
she's full of rust

It's every day, but today
All boys must go there way
I remember now, all them things...
All them things...today

Boardwalks all ripped to hell
Storm came in, sick never got well
Where you took me as a kid
High up your shoulders...
Same boardwalk twenty years later...
All my secrets I told her

It's every day, but today
All boys must go there way
I remember now, all them things...
All them things...today

But dad she's forgot most all them
And Mom, she still drinks
I walked that dirty shore to see if I could feel you
Nothing... Just fuckin stinks

Life happens every day
All them things...today
