Everything Happens For A Reason

I’ve heard it a million times
everything happens for a reason.
But whether it’s your lies
or our intense passion;

There’s things I’ll never understand
like where we even stand
If we’re meant to be
or if you’re just a distraction.

Perhaps it’s a type of lesson
but I don’t want it to be.
I want you and me
to be together again.

And I don’t think I can be the one
to make the first step 
because you’ll think I’m desperate
while i just think it’s our fate.

Don’t know what to do.
