EVOLVING SOON

Fade into everlong log x oblong,

Thanks Cherie, I appreciate the positive vibes for sure!ย Thanks for liking my work!
Rock, I got through about forty minutes of that video and had to turn it off lol. Sorry....ย
The idea for the short film is a bit provocative if it were handled in a different way. I'm not sure if Zappa was on an acid trip or what, but he should have stuck to what he was good at. (my opinion of course) A writer could have taken his thoughts and ideas and turned them into something stellar eh... lol I asked an older friend of mine if she had heard about this little clip, and she hadn't, but she had heard the SONGS.... Shudder. Ahย poor thing.ย
Hugs and Blessings, Rebecca
Yeah I watched about five minutes of it, but I remember watching 200 Motels about thirteen years ago thinking WTF?ย Zappa is pretty interesting.ย I like his stand on non-censorship.ย I personally think it's best if we don't censor, except self censorship is ok, like preferring to censor out lies is OK, and getting to the crux of things, is cool.ย I think we are most free when our purpose to create draws into question the means of creating to some extent, but I believe the final expression born to liberty through any difficult state that it may invoke in others is necessary, as long as people do not directly harm each other.

I agree, but the bitch is... the work will always touch people in different ways. Some will like it, others hate it, and for me as the artist it is difficult, and yet a priority, to remember who is responsible forย the reaction. The artist invokes, but does not have to be the owner of response. lol did that make sense??? Being a subjective thing, wouldย you say that finding your audience is important? Then again how do you show the versatility of your creative process without alienating those you attracted in the first place?ย
Fun stuff Rock... :)ย
Rebecca
Dear Rebecca,
Part of me is anti-social, the truth of my method is that I make the art for me primarily, I find it very therapeutic and fun.ย The audience is a side benefit, being affected by the needs of audiences is important only in so far as a vision is shared in embryo with the select few who might be able to decode in my case NOT words, but emergent atmosphere that evolves from the work, so the audience is a key element in that because I have no clue whether what is atmospheric for me is similar in any regard for others or IF I find that there is a standard aesthetic expressed and uncovered from a particular approach, I very much so enter into a contemplative phase on what my intentions reveal about my codification process that is NON social, and non committal with respect to expressing a conventional sentiment.ย I can never be sure what trumps what, whether my way of seeing something is the prime way or not, but something in the social dynamic of a work makes it a vehicle for transforming my method and means and I am open to the process.ย In that sense I am NOT anti-social.ย I feel everyone is a collection of contradictions to that effect to some extent or not.
I suppose to summarize my concern, finding the audience happens after you find your own voice, I am still examining my voice, the audience is just along for the ride at this point.
Rockwell
Neat.ย I'm enjoying the ride, it makes me think, inspect, and reflect. So thank you for sharing your Unique voice. Blessingsย ย
Thank you Rebecca, blessings and wellwishings to you also!
