Excretion

What goes up must come down

What goes in must come out

Energy enters me

But where does it go thereafter

I don't see it in my lolling about

Could it really be consumed just by my thoughts

All those kilojules

Wasted on trivialities

Money spent on food

But nothing to show for it

Nothing but hot air and vain daydreams

Shall we hold a funeral

For all that energy that's died

Perhaps a cleansing ceremony

To clear my aura of the poltergeist

The ghost of meaningless drivel

The produce of my futile imagination

Not even as useful as carbon omission

Not even precious to demons like sulphur

Just an effervescent bunch of crap
