Existence

Search the archives. It’s been done before.

But I still search for the extraordinary.

I have a checklist of ambitions, not one is original.

In fact, most of them are the aspirations of others.

I’m walking in the footsteps of dead legends.

Each of them perished on the brink of salvation.

File me away, and seek my presence in a thousand years.

Let the sick seek me out in literature, and know

That I wasn’t of Greek decent.

The menu of existence states we all must die.

Thus, from the cradle, my fate was written.

Line us all up, and confess the truth, we’re born dying,

Desperate to live, afflicted by the hand of mortality.

Thus, nothing is unique, we just tweak existence.
