Poem -

exodus 20:14

I have to admit,
I'm almost impressed.
A blindside at its finest,
I'm sure Sandra would agree.
I would clap but you no longer
deserve my praise,
and I would congratulate you
but there is nothing
to be proud of anymore.
I was promised a world
that you stole from me
and gave to someone else.

You told me your goal
was never to hurt me,
but you call me a problem
because I tell you you did
Β  Β  Β  (why bother asking?)
You tell me you love me
but appear in her picture the next day
and now I must wonder
if you ever did.
I don't accept apologies
from a liar's lips,
so save yourself the effort
and me the time.
I think I know what nausea is
until I picture myself in her place,
and I feel it in my throat.
Go, run towards the church bells
and toward your consummation
Β  Β  Β  (have to make it holy, right?)
I hope she understands
your interesting definition of eternity,
as I wish I had.
Keep your cheap talk
and your empty promises,
and I'll keep my soul
(you had it for long enough.)
You may not wish to forget
the love I provided,
but I would pay good money
to erase you from my memory.
You may be bad at love,
but I now know that I'm not,
and I now know
that you don't deserve my love
Β  Β  Β  (and trust me,
Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  karma cuts no corners.)

Someone else will though,
and that is where it will go.
As they say,
there is always someone else
Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  (right?)
