The Exorcism [Memoirs Of A Third World Child]

Pious believers came to extract a demon
I had relieved her from the wrath of poison
Much to the demon’s dismay,
They prayed and laid hands on her

Her body writhed across the floor
Her eyes bulged
Her sanity was no more

A week ago, she was seamlessly nonchalant
She wasn't a frequent practitioner of Christianism
She met a boy and fell in love with him
She knew he would be the death of her

Her body writhed across the floor
Her eyes bulged
Her sanity was no more

The smell of rat poison filled the air
The believers said God was there
It was a dramatic fight between good and evil
Her frayed body was the unfortunate battlefield

Her body writhed across the floor
Her eyes bulged
Her sanity was no more
