EXPLAIN THE BRUISE

She told me that she walked into a door
The bruise on her face hasn't been there beforeĀ
I think she is telling me a downright lie
She's covering up the truth but I don't know why

Is she a victim of her spouse's attackĀ
A door surely wouldn't make a bruise be so black
I don't know want to appear nosey or dig too deep
I'm just concerned about the company she keepĀ

I will be here for her every single minute of the day
Can't do anything though if she doesn't honestly say
