Poem -
The Internet
There's a stream of emotion shared everyday.
Pouring out into a river creating a wave.
Comment after comment of this or of that.
Reason unheard now that is a fact.
Everyone screaming is creating a gap.
A waterfall of fallacies spill on the map.
Share after share is proof of there worth.
A forced confession; a child coerced.
I don't know the truth through this ocean of lies.
I don't know the truth. Corruption filled with pride.
I know that compassion is love in disguise.
But why don't we use it? Why don't we try?

Jamie, I love this poem; it's relevant and makes me think about my attitude towards Facebook; I quite hate it to be honest, it's a great idea gone bad; I ignore everyone who tries to contact me or friend me or whatever, even though I actually know most of them, (family and church friends) and I know I can use the thing to promote my book; and probably will, lol.... in principle I'm still stubbornly against the whole idea of organized, superficial relationships and finding out all the weird things that people do with their time here on this planet, I'm an extremely private person and still appreciate 'real' social interaction over random, superficial thoughts that some folks have a burden to share with the whole world....you've given me much to ponder though, it is powerful and can be used for good, and granted I have a limited understanding of the thing in general....I really enjoyed this read

I actually love facebook but it has been used for propaganda so heavily that it made me write this........I have a broken back so getting out to socialize is difficult. Facebook gave me back the ability to stay connected.........it is superficial but I would take that over nothing........
