Poem -

Faded

Gasping for air I appeared

among those who love me.

It was new and beautiful.

I was famous.

Time was golden, eternity.

I grew, strong, fast and ran from the past with a speed never seen.

What could I be? The dreams of a dreamer,

the hopes of the invincible flooded my mind.

Adventures came,

some dreams dashed, some smashed,

while learning that death comes before defeat

when the barricade of opinions are on your side.

Invisible power will you be my friend?

Will you give me a chance to make a mark, to fly,

to dream, to climb a mountain, to kiss my love,

to hope forever?

Gasping for air you watched me fade, a cruel invisible blade.

And nothing came to take me.

I was alone without a breath.

And the tears on my face came from my mother and father.

I could feel the drops as I faded.
