Fake Smiles, Hidden Tears

Hiding behind fake smiles, 

How easy, and it all beguiles, 

Nobody sees, or will know,

When I'm alone, how tears flow. 

Hoping that it will pass, 

That I'll be better before i crash,

Nobody needs to ever know, 

If somehow this can go!

The few who know, so far away! 

Yet still they shed a light in my way,

After all is done and past,

They will be the ones who last. 

The lonely path lies ahead, 

I find no comfort at night, in my bed,

Terrors and insanity swirl through,

If only there were more who knew... 

With broken mind and broken trust,

A fragile heart, and spirit crushed, 

Yet clinging on to a risky love

Hoping not to fall, crashing down from above.
