Poem -
The Fall of Clarity

As my knees are starting to shake,
A thousand thoughts flying through my mind,
Never again will I be awake,
As I prepare to leave the world behind.
Now my palms rub against my thighs,
Every muscle in my body is stiff,
I take one last look up to the sky,
And I jump from the edge of the cliff.
Plummeting towards the solid ground,
No more troubles and nothing to fear,
A sense of elation has been found,
The weight is gone and the end is near.
Now doors are open I had closed in my mind,
To live like this, it would be so great,
Now I don’t want to leave the world behind,
But my epiphany came too late.
