Fallen Leaf
Like a leaf falling on a windy day
Losing it's grip of it's branch
Tossing and turning on a stormy day
Rolling in whatever direction
Sky raining freezing droplets
Making the icy puddles
Where it finally lands
seems cold
seems dark
far away from it's comfort zone
from sticks and stems to sand and stone
Nothing seems the same
What it didn't know
Was that it was time to grow
Into its own plant
Like an episcia leaf spruting root
Its not the end yet
it takes a while but it will no longer be a fallen leaf
But the beginning on brand new leaf.

Hello Cleo...
Great descriptive write!
Life of a leaf...
It reminds us that when the old passes away there is always new...
The leaf changes before it falls...
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

Hi Sparrowsong, there's always a new phase,if we have the courage to start in that direction.. Thanks a lot. Cheers.
Hello Cleo, I like this. It takes away empathy for the leaf knowing in the end it will go through its own metamorphosis instead of decomposing on the ground. Love and Respect your friend D.
Hi Devon, some plant don't need seed and stem but also their leaves to propagate, that's a grat mode of survival. warm regards. Cheers.
